Express In Music (EIM)
Pertandingan Mencipta Lagu

Syarat-syarat Penyertaan

• Setiap peserta boleh menghantar lebih daripada SATU (1) buah lagu untuk dipertandingkan dan dihakimi.
• Penyertaan adalah TERBUKA kepada semua.
• Penyertaan untuk pertandingan ini bermula pada 01/12/17 dan tarikh tutup penyertaan adalah pada 31/05/18.
• Penciptaan laju merujuk kepada penghasilan lagu (termasuk adunan muzik yang lengkap) dan lirik lagu. Hasil karya hendaklah asli dan BELUM PERNAH diterbitkan oleh syarikat rakaman, syarikat penerbitan atau persembahan luar.
• Setiap penyertaan hendaklah disertakan dengan:
  • Lagu yang telah dirakam musik dan nyanyiannya (andunan lengkap dan bukan demo tape) hendaklah dimuat naik dalam laman web Express In Music.
  • Pihak EIM berhak MEMBATALKAN penyertaan yang menggunakan lirik dan lagu yang dipertandingkan di mana-mana pertandingan lain sebelum ini, atau terdapat unsur-unsur plagiarisme di dalam lagu yang dihasilkan.

Syarat-syarat Penyertaan (Lagu / Muzik)

Lagu yang dihasilkan perlu mempunyai elemen-elemen berikut:

• Lagu dinyanyikan dengan vocal yang jelas dan muzik yang jelas.
• Genre Pop atau Pop Kotemporari digalakkan.
• Konsep, gaya atau style muzik haruslah dalam kategori Gembira, Positif, Groovy atau Upbeat dan bersesuaian dengan lirik.
• Penggunaan alat muzik tradisional / moden adalah dibenarkan.
• Tempoh setiap lagu mestilah dalam masa 3 minit hingga 5 minit.
• Jeritan vocal, konsep Opera / tradisional adalah tidak digalakkan.
  • Lagu-lagu pemenang akan disiarkan secara komersil dan diiktiraf di kedai-kedai besar seperti IKEA, McDonald's dan Porsche di seluruh negara termasuk Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong dan Thailand.
  • Lirik Lagu
• Senikata lagu dan lirik mestilah dalam BAHASA MALAYSIA
• Lirik haruslah bersesuaian dengan konsep lagu.
• Lirik lagu yang dihasilkan tidak boleh mengandungi unsur-unsur negatif, lucah dan menyentuh sensitiviti perkauman, bangsa serta tidak ada unsur-unsur hasutan.

Proses Penghakiman

• Setiap penyertaan akan melalui proses penghakiman oleh pihak juri yang terdiri daripada pihak pengurusan EIM.
• Penghakiman adalah berdasarkan kualiti lagu, lirik dan adunan muzik secara keseluruhan.
• Penilaian juga akan diberi berdasarkan aspek kreativiti melodi yang bermutu, nilai komersil dan menepati konsep serta mampu menarik minat semua golongan.
• Keputusan hakim adalah MUKTAMAD.
• Pemenang-pemenang akan dimaklumkan melalui e-mail.
• Sekiranya peserta tidak mendapat maklum balas dari pihak EIM selepas satu (1) minggu daripada tarikh tutup penyertaan maka peserta dianggap tidak berjaya.

• Tempat Pertama : USD$180
• Tempat Kedua : USD$100
• Tempat Ketiga : USD$70
• Tempat Keempat : USD$50

Hak Cipta Lagu Dan Paten

• Setiap lagu yang dipertandingkan secara rasminya peserta (Komposer) bersetuju bahawa sekiranya lagu yang dipertandingkan menang, hak penyiaran untuk lagu tersebut akan dimiliki oleh Express in Music (EIM) untuk sekurang-kurangnya 2 tahun.
• Hak cipta muzik dan nama pencipta/komposer akan dikekalkan dengan komposer.sampai bila-bila.
• Semua penyertaan muzik akan dimuatnaik ke pangkalan data EIM untuk kegunaan music latar belakang. Selain daripada hadiah yang telah ditetapkan, peserta (komposer) juga berhak untuk menuntut bayaran atau royalti terhadap lagu tersebut pada masa hadapan. Ini adalah tertakluk kepada Terma dan Syarat dari Express In Music.

Conditions of Entry

• Your works will have the opportunity to be commercially broadcasted and recognized in outlets of big brands such as IKEA, McDonald’s and Porsche across countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Thailand.
• Each participant can send MORE THAN ONE (1) song to the contest.
• Participation is OPEN to all.
• Registration for this competition begins on 01/12/17 and the closing date is on 31/05/18. Participants will submit their works by uploading the track to the Express in Music’s platform.
• The work must be original and NEVER published by a recording company, a publishing company or an outside presentation. It MUST BE free from CMO licensing (collective management organizations in charge of licensing musical works (e.g.Music Authors’ Copyright Protection (MACP) Berhad, Public Performance Malaysia) for at least 2 years.
• Each entry must be accompanied by:
  • Completed pop vocal sound track.
• Express in Music reserves the right to CANCEL any participant that uses the lyrics and the song being contested in any competition before the competition, or any plagiarism elements in the song being produced. The song needs to be an independent and original work.

Entry Requirements (Songs / Music)

The resulting song needs to have the following elements:

• The song is sung with clear vocals and clear music.
• Traditional / modern musical instruments are permitted.
• Each song duration MUST be within 3 to 5 minutes.

Lyrics

• Lyrics used shall be in BAHASA MALAYSIA.
• We are looking for songs with positive, happy, or romantic vibes. Lyrics should be aligned with the style of the music. Vocalist from both genders are welcome. The styles can range from a slower, groovy feel to more upbeat music, so long as the work falls within the category of pop (we do not want opera or traditional, or other vocal styles). No screaming vocals as well.
• The lyrics of the resulting song SHOULD NOT contain ANY negative, obscene, non-touching racial sensitivities, and no instinctive elements.

Song Evaluation Process

• Each entry will go through a judicial process by the jury of the top management.
• Evaluation is based on the quality of songs, lyrics and music blending as a whole.
• Evaluation will also be based on the quality aspects of the quality of the melodic creativity, the commercial value and the concept and the ability to attract all groups.
• The judge's decision is FINAL.
• Winners will be notified by email.
• If the participants do not get feedback from the management after one (1) week from the closing date of participation then the participants are considered unsuccessful.

Prize

Prizes are as follows:

• Top Song: USD$180
• Runner Up: USD$100
• 2nd Runner Up: USD$70
• 3rd Runner Up: USD$50

Copyright Issues

• By submitting an entry, officially the participants (Composer) agree that if the winning song wins, the broadcast rights shall belong to Express in Music for at least 2 years upon approval. Full music copyrights shall remain with the composer.
• The composer name will also be maintained.
• All participating entries will be submitted to the pool of EIM database for usage of background music. In addition to the prescribed prizes, participants (composers) will be entitled to claim payment or royalty to the song used by Express in Music.
