Project Overview:
The client is a well-established M.O.E approved primary school. This project requires the revamp of the existing school song - the melody tune (i.e. score) specifically.
Increase the tempo of the song while maintaining a comfortable pace and standard for students to sing along. It will be the best case scenario to retain 100% of the original lyrics. However, if you feel that there's a need to change the lyrics to suit your revamped melody, you are advise to retain the majority (90-95%) of it. Keywords such as: |

| Track Description: | The vocal range of a typical 7-12 year old is limited to just over an octave. Care was taken to limit the range of the melody without compromising melodic interest.
Another thing to note is the arrangement; first and foremost, the original piece is called a march. A marching tempo makes the song fast enough for children to consider lively; their resting pulse rate is higher than a typical adult's, so what we consider fast they might not. This arrangement can also be readily adapted for a school band to play at school functions, concerts, or even weekly at the school assembly.
As per the client's request, the changes to the lyrics were kept to a minimum.
The first change was to necessitate a rhyme with "Just", one of the keywords the school (client) believes is important. Rhymes help children from 7-12 remember better.
The subsequent changes were centered around substituting the non-key phrase "our deeds" with something more readily understood, and rearranging the sequence of key ideas in the original lyrics in order to facilitate rhyming.
